Photos were taken by me at the premiere of “Lone Ranger” here in Berlin, 2013. For more information, please read my article at Indian Country Today Media Network.

2015 is the 65th year for the film festival, and I’ll be covering the premiere of “Kuma Hina: A Place in the Middle” a documentary by Emmy award-winning producer/directors Dean Hamer & Joe Wilson at BERLINALE , and interviewing Mr. Wilson during the week of 5-15 February 2015. To read more about the documentary, and the transgender leader, educator and political activist featured please visit http://kumuhina.tumblr.com/.

About the documentary: “IN A WORLD THAT PUNISHES GENDER NONCONFORMITY, IMAGINE A PLACE WHERE A LITTLE BOY CAN GROW UP TO BE THE WOMAN OF HIS DREAMS, AND A YOUNG GIRL CAN RISE TO BECOME A LEADER AMONG MEN. WELCOME TO KUMU HINA’S HAWAI’I, WHERE THERE’S A PLACE IN THE MIDDLE FOR ALL.”
