Official Selection for First Nations Film & Video Festival, May 1-10, 2018

If you’re in Chicago, May 1-10, 2018, our documentary Forget Winnetou: Loving in the Wrong Way will be screened at the First Nations Film and Video Festival. Also playing will be “Reclamation”, a short documentary by Viveka Frost (Teques/Caribe) who is a participant in “Forget Winnetou!”

    1. To be honest, I’m promoting my own film which focuses on Native and other POC voices and experiences on racism and cultural appropriation by Europeans, instead of the usual centering of white perspective and trivializing of affect and harm to POC, which Drew’s film arguably did yet again. I only agreed to appear in that million-dollar baby to make that point, and it wasn’t a paying gig either.
