On 16 November 2016, supporters of #StandingRock #NoDAPL demonstrated in front of the US Consulate at Clayallee 170 in Berlin, Germany. Many of those gathered pledged to continue efforts as one could here in Europe by writing and taking action at banks and companies who help fund the Dakota Access Pipeline. We were joined by those acting for Hawaiian Independence, and fellows from Australia raising awareness about the situation in their country. Obama was in town, and one hopes at least one journalist or someone he met with asked him about his “Let’s see how it plays out” response recently.
See below for ways to support Standing Rock, and contact information for bank and companies funding DAPL and how/where to write to demand they stop.

Legal defense funds helps get them out of jail (out of dog kennels and away from abuse) while they await trial. My son hadn’t been to Bad Saarow in two and a half years, but remembers good times there and a matchless freedom that only true simplicity can create. It is a place of peace for us and of mutual respect. A place where there is time to listen and speak and discuss as the moment […]
Not unbelievable in the sense of the word many people might quickly assume, “incredible” in a positive way or simply “surprising”, but one of the literal meanings: ” so great or extreme as to be difficult to believe; extraordinary.” My 2013 was extraordinary in the extremes of life and living that occurred, but perhaps not […]
